I find violence unacceptable, I just don't care enough about one person who died amongst so many people who die every day from all sorts of fucked-up situation. It's not about my pride, that person is simply dead and there's nothing anybody can do about that.

maybe we can try to sweep violence out of the deep recesses of our culture so this doesn’t happen again next time?

no one is asking you to change the past but a tragedy is always a good time to at least talk about what we could be doing differently

and instead we’re spending half our time dealing with this backlash over “wahh, the girls are suggesting that maybe i could be doing something differently”
