Have you ever developed apps? Any chance of a Flora app?

as in…  phone/tablet apps?

wow weird i take for granted that programs on desktops are also still called “apps” but good job apple marketing machine

i have not, no; it’s not very appealing since my choices are java versus paying $100 for the mere privilege of being able to write software for a computer i don’t actually want anyway

i really don’t like mobile apps for websites, either; i get the impression they exist mostly for marketing purposes, so some company can get its Brand in the app store and on your home screen.  i mean, would you download (or buy!) a program for your desktop to read a single specific webcomic?

both as a user and as a dev i’d rather just have a mobile site that works well.  and i don’t mean some watered-down useless afterthought mobile site either; i mean the same exact website should work gloriously on my phone, tablet, and desktop.  in theory that should be way easier than building and maintaining three entirely separate things.

the main problem of course is people with big complicated existing websites that they can’t fit onto a phone easily.  the lesson is that if your website is covered in things you see no reason to put on your mobile site or in your phone app, those things are useless garbage and you should delete them

uhh so the answer to the actual question i guess was “no”, but i definitely intend to make floraverse mobile-aware in the medium term
