right, as an artist, people are gonna try to take advantage of your talent. they know they’re doing it.

happens to me all the time, and if it’s a client who could get me somewhere, damn right I’ll take the free work.

also lol protip: the only place a free client will get you is into an inner sanctum of more people who want you to work for free because now they know what a sucker you are

if you’re not getting paid you might as well do work for yourself; it tends to end up better anyway
