Here’s a cool way to play Doom that was suggested to me by a friend: combine the DoomRL Arsenal with Oblige to create DoomRL 3D! Can’t believe I didn’t think to do this before, seems like such an obvious idea. It’s a whole lot of fun too!
Whenever I die I like to start over and generate a whole new wad to get that authentic roguelike experience.
i don’t think i know nearly enough about doomrl to know wtf any of the items or weapons are, which put a minor damper on this
also oblige really really likes to generate the same couple archetypes over and over
but this was a pretty entertaining way to waste two hours haha
