this is a tough question since html alone is basically worthless

you can always look at websites you use and try to recreate them (or parts of them) without looking at how they’re built, as an exercise

or find an open-source thing and try to fix some easy bugs; that’s always helpful and most (most.) projects will welcome the help.  even easy stuff takes time from people who could be doing the hard stuff
