The irritating thing is that these are the same sort of excuses I got with a roommate we just kicked out this week because they kept smoking in the house and saying she was going outside to do it. Not only is it illegal because we live in an apartment complex, but the house smelled horribly and every morning we'd wake up with sore throats (it'd get better once we got some fresh air, so we know it was her). She kept playing the victim and acting like we were the problem, and that we were being

inconsiderate of her, and not the other way around. She kept telling us that the statistics about second-hand smoke was exaggerated/didn’t exist, which is incredibly frustrating considering I developed asthma after living with my dad, who was a smoker (I was an incredibly active, healthy child too! And it’s ruined my lungs for the rest of my life). Once our four month old kitten started coughing and wheezing, we finally got angry enough at her to boot her out.
yeah uh fuck that noise
if it actually got to the point of harming my cat i would be setting people on fire, not merely kicking them out
