Anonymous asked:Did you gradually switch over the food or just completely switch? A gradual switch might have prevented that if it was rather abrupt. I know hindsight is 20/20 but it might be an idea to mix in some of their older food and take it from there. x
yeah it was abrupt. whoops! we sort of very suddenly discovered we were out of cat food, and they didn’t like the old stuff (napoleon had even been losing some of his flab) so we’d been planning to try something else anyway, so we just went for it. certainly did not see a catastrophe of this magnitude coming.
