Dear Lexy, how long have you been working as a librarian? Presumably before you worked for Merlot you worked at another library; unless there was a reason, other than experience and expertise, for your being hired?

I do what interests me. My previous occupation was not in a library, but it did bear a certain relevance to the art of writing nonetheless.

I was not hired. Merlot and I came to a mutual understanding.
