cues, that’s when we need to be more forgiving and understanding (especially if they’re apologetic about it and want to get better). But if someone with a mental disorder has the intent of being destructive–when they want to get back at you or hurt you–in my opinion that is when they cannot use their illness to justify their actions. At times (and especially now) it seemed Pengo had the intent to hurt PK (a good example is drawing his character punching PK’s) while PK’s “abuse” was a couple of misunderstandings and a lack of communication between the both of them. I won’t claim I know what was going through Pengo’s head, and I won’t invalidate the fact that he was probably really hurt over what happened. People will get their feelings hurt all the time and suffer in silence, and them not communicating it can cause those feelings to escalate and become very sour, but PK is NOT a psychic. They have always been direct in telling people to just be honest, and seem to try to be a safe person to talk to because they gives a shit about the thoughts and feelings of their loved ones. It’s just incredibly frustrating and I feel terribly that PK/Pengo couldn’t get the closure they needed to end their relationship peacefully, and that this whole situation had to turn into something so ugly. (I apologize for the long post, this stuff just drives me crazy)
