if you ever see us dismissing some random-ass thing a person says on the grounds of mental illness, sure, do call us out on that.

but that’s not what happened. we ALREADY KNEW that what pengo had said was wrong, and paranoia was the only explanation we could think of for why he would say things that were so wrong.

his paranoia was never the REASON we thought he was wrong. we knew he was wrong from the outset because mel was there and i lived with her at the time! but it would have been really strange for pengo to tell such a huge story that wasn’t true at all – unless, say, he was paranoid.
