Not quite as in the ‘well you shouldn’t have been wearing that’ blaming, even though that is seriously wrong and completely fucked up too. But I mean like the story where that one girl said no to a guy every day, he warned her he had a gun, she still said no, then reported him. And people blamed her, telling her it wouldn’t kill her to have been nicer, or said yes once. SO PK gawd be nicer and let people ruin your reputation with little basis. (except don’t, stay amazing and strong, much love)

yeah i know. when mike was doing whatever he wanted, everything appeared to be nice and happy, because his victims either put up with it or got so uncomfortable they just quietly disappeared.

but calling it out means there is now visible conflict, and the one to cause it was PK!! it must all be her fault, ugh

this is the recurring problem: most people want to avoid conflict so they will let everyone else get away with murder just to preserve the illusion of harmony. mel has zero patience for that crap.

it is really bizarre that we, all of us, value the illusion of peace that much. like how most friend groups have That One Guy that nobody actually likes, who’s toxic and aggressive and unfunny, but nobody really does anything because it would be a whole thing and at any given moment it’s easier to just tolerate.
