i don’t know if a lot of people quite appreciate how jarring this all has been

for someone we broke ties with ages ago to reappear and present all our ancient history as a carefully planned attack on him

i gifted him a new laptop, and he used it against me. she tried to be considerate about the workload, and he used it against her. things she apologized for, he used against her. things he apologized for then and now, he used against her. things he did wrong, he flipped the names, and then used against her.

until the end, mel and pengo got along really well. i was genuinely sad to see it not work out. there was certainly no way to see something like this coming.

but that means that this might happen with anyone. who are your closest friends, your significant others? would you ever think that in a year, they might turn all your shared moments against you, and try to ruin your life?

we didn’t think so either. but here we are.
