Its actually very easy to understand, the main reason people were upset is because of not only PK's initial rant, but also the manner in which you all replied. His claims were serious but not shocking, PK is verbally abusive in her responses sometimes. However I personally emailed her about it long before Pengo's post and she was more then civil. In times like these you ALL need a pr person because you seriously don't respond well and it makes all parties look absolutely terrible.

i really don’t understand how it’s a minor leap from “mel makes strongly-worded posts about people she thinks are jerks” to “mel is highly manipulative and has strong abusive tendencies”.  either you believe her internet posts are way more serious than i do, or you think claims of manipulation and abuse are way less serious than i do.

(mel’s public pronoun is “they” btw)

i remind you that we are talking about someone who wrote 70 pages calling someone manipulative and nigh-abusive (and inexperienced and forgetful and scary and…), yet you are criticizing the target for their incivility.  nobody seems to have much interest in how civil pengo was, but mel is measured against some ridiculous golden standard and then condemned for not living up to it.  why?
